Mentors on a Mission

What you will not hear a MLM marketer talk about or point out is the last person in their line because they are not making any money, you will also not hear too much about anything the newest trainee is doing due to the lack of business, thus nothing to point to or discuss.

This type of finger pointing is something done a regular basis by all MLM trainers and network marketers and is embraced to it's fullest by Mentors On A Mission.

Mentors On A Mission attempts to sell their network marketing technique by only pointing to the shining examples, people who are making money. Of course, this is only the minority of people, the remaining majority are of course not mentioned.

The rhetoric of Mentors On A Mission begins with what it is others do or do not do. An example, "through the use of focused conference calls, online resources, direct training, targeted and prospecting information, finding free leads specifically designed for your growth, we can help you grow your network marketing or small business into a sizeable organization".

Take the time to compare this statement to the facts on their website, "Fact: A waste of your time and money is buying leads". If this is so, how will free leads possibly create an increase in business? No explanation is ever provided.

There is no detailed description of how the training will help you reach your goals by Mentors On A Mission, per the web site, "Great initial results are reported by Mentors On A Mission with the May 2005 launch of the new My Digital Marketing System©. Increases in sales by using the new automated system were experienced by both mentors and students. Within 30 days, this wonderful marketing system will start providing results to students and mentors".

Making "motivation" the product is the basic approach being used by Mentors On A Mission as well as several other companies. I often get calls and e-mails from people asking me to help them get their money back, usually it is a large amount of money and unfortunately they don't get it back.

In the case of Mentors On A Mission, listening to that little voice in your head that says, "Buyer Beware" will save you some big money. I don't recommend Mentors on a mission.

The Rich Jerk

The Rich Jerk is an internet marketer who prefers to remain anonymous at this time but is willing to share his secrets to becoming wealthy on the internet without any effort. There is some speculation that The Rich Jerk is in fact, Kelly Felix the founder of Credit Pro Inc and guesswhatiheard.com.

The Rich Jerk program contains information on writing great sales letters, how to make money generating leads, how to set up affiliate websites quickly and profitably, how to create your own products, setting up an eBay Powerseller business and even examples of past Rich Jerk websites that have been huge money makers along with much more. In addition to the strategies in the book, purchase of the Rich Jerk program provides free updates, access to the members only forum as well as a website already created by the Rich Jerk staff.

The Rich Jerk states his strategies are most useful for digital downloads, selling informational products or access to a members only website and are true guerilla marketing techniques.

There are those who feel that the information provided in The Rich Jerk does not work, one person claimed to have lost several hundred dollars trying to implement the ideas, he went on to state that when he asked for a refund he was questioned about which techniques he used that didn't work rather than just being refunded.

While most people feel that the information provided in The Rich Jerk is valuable and helpful the biggest criticism was that it was only for advanced marketers. The Rich Jerk has since been updated with a new chapter just for beginners that provides some of the neccessary information to get started.

Bulk Email

As you probably know, bulk email has a few differnet names it goes by including, spam, email marketing, opt-in mailing, permission mailing, safe list, mass email, broadcast email, etc.

Back in 1995, 96, 97, 98, and even part of 99, bulk email was a very effective way to market your business. These days, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. The anti-spam force is very strong and extremely aggressive. These anti-spammers will especially cause your business problems if you send out pure spam that is not even targeted to a niche audience.

If you just go out and buy a list of millions of email addresses and start spamming your ads out, you're making a big mistake. Not only would you run into legal problems and anti-spam attacks against your business, but you'd be lucky if you even made enough money to buy groceries.

These days, there is far too much competition in the world of spam and test after test shows that it's getting even less effective every day.

There is another form of email marketing called "opt-in mailing" or "permission based mailing" that does work however, and it's legal. As the names imply, opt-in mailings and permission based mailing both mean that you are sending to a list of people that have either requested to be on your mailing list or have given you permission to email them ads or news from time to time. Newsletters and Ezines are a great example of permission based mailing.

Starting your own Ezine or Newsletter list to send bulk email is the single most effective method of advertising you'll ever find. These people want to hear from you and want to hear what you have to say, including your advertisements. Not only are they a great way to advertise via bulk email, but they are also completely legal, moral and ethical in every way.

You can actually grow your list into the hundreds of thousands and make a big popular name for yourself on the internet this way. Growing a large Ezine list or Newsletter list has brought hundreds if not thousands of men and women fame and fortune on the net. Most of the famous marketers I review at this website reached their celebrity status and high income levels by the strict and dedicated use of their newsletter.

Most successful marketers these days fully know and understand that the only way you're going to be able to send bulk email is if you do it in the form of a newsletter or ezine. And boy does it work!

Let me know if you need any help setting up a newsletter or ezine. I've been doing this for over 7 years now and I consider myself an expert on the subject. I can help you select the most effective bulk email software for your ezine/newsletter and show you how to get up to 1,000 people a day signing up to be on your list.

If however, you have no interest in starting an Ezine or Newsletter and you just want to send out bulk email unsolicited, you had better make sure your list is comprised of people that are extremely involved in your industry. For instance, if you sell golf clubs, you could talk to other companies that have have lists of golfers. Or better yet, they may have a list of golfers that have purchased something golf related within the past 6 months. These lists are generally small yet incredibly effective. A list like this could contain 5,000 email addresses and cost you about $500

If someone is trying to sell you a list like that for only $19 then something is wrong meaning the list is probably not golfers but just a random bunch of email addresses. A cheap fake list will do nothing for you but get you plenty of complaints and get your internet accounts all canceled. So do your homework and research to find quality companies that provide high quality lists of people that would definitely be interested in what you've got.

Keep in mind, I don't recommend mailing to a list you have purchased at all, but I only gave you that advice above in case you are going to do it anyway. The above advice will at least help to keep you out of trouble. And help is the keyword there, because you can easily get into trouble with a list you have purchased. In my opinion, collecting your own email addresses from your own website and creating your very own opt-in or permission based list is the only way to go. Bulk email is can hurt your business if you do it wrong!

Mark Haroldsen

Mark Haroldsen is the author of "How to Awaken the Financial Genius Within You" and is the publisher of the quarterly "Financial Freedom Report". Mark Haroldsen claims that his book will help anyone to become wealthy investing in real estate.

However, in my research I found that Mark Haroldsen and the Financial Freedom Report were named in a lawsuit by the Federal Trade Commssion who charged that the companies and their principals misrepresented the earning potetntials to customers who were buying the home- business started kit for $495. Other people claim that the information in Mr. Haroldsen's courses is recycled and can be of questionable origins.

In my opinion, I would not recommend Mark Haroldsen's books and seminars. I just smell too many fish in this whole thing.

Derek Gehl

Derek Gehl as president of Internet Marketing Center diligently worked at making it one of the top online internet marking companies today. Corey Rudl wrote books about online marketing strategies, Derek Gehl and Corey Rudl were business partners until Corey's untimely passing in mid 2005. Derek Gehl now runs the Internet Marketing Center.

Corey Rudl was a pioneer in the internet marketing world and I have always enjoyed the information Corey provided.

The best selling internet marketing information of the past few years is now represented by Derek Gehl. Desktop Marketer, AssocTRAC, Mail Loop and many other tools for internet business are sold at the Internet Marketing Center.

Corey Rudl started an internet empire with Derek Gehl as the longtime "right hand man" and second in command. Unfortunately, Corey was killed in June 2005 in California, sadly he was only 32, bringing to an end this great relationship.

Derek kept pace with Corey Rudl every step of the way to his internet fortune. Corey's untimely death must have undoubtedly shook the organization to it's very core, but Derek has assumed much of the control for the business and is guiding through this difficult period.

Corey Rudl's tactics, which revolve around relentless upsells to customers have many critics, making it seem as if there is always something more to buy. Even though there are some who disagree with this approach, it has been and will remain successful for this marketing group. In the near future, I'll be posting more findings about him to this page. Until then, I do recommend Derek Gehl.

I definitely recommend Neil and all of his materials and teachings.

Traffic Swarm

I signed up with traffic swarm and was very excited about the endless possibilities this traffic generator seemed to offer. The whole concept seemed perfect to me. You basically get paid a certain amount of credits or points to click around the Traffic Swarm website. It's like getting virtual money that you use for your own advertising so your website will be diplayed when others start clicking around trying to earn credits.

Yes, the Traffic Swarm system seemed perfect to me at first. These guys even set up an anti-cheat program that prevents people from getting hundreds of free credits without actually doing any real clicking. So now there is no way you can beat or cheat their system. There is even a timer that makes sure you are spending a certain amount of time on each of the other advertisers websites after you click on them. The system makes you wait 20 seconds before you can click again for more credits. If you click before the 20 seconds is up, then nothing happens. You can even see how many seconds have gone by with their built in count-down time displayed right on the same page.

I thought this was the greatest thing since sliced bread because I was clicking all around for hours trying to save up credits. And I assumed everyone else must be doing just like me. I figured their must be thousands or maybe hundreds of thousands of other people clicking on all these websites to save up credits to get more people to click on their own website.

But you know the old saying "If it seems to good to be true, then it probably is" And I think that old saying applies here. My excitement of Traffic Swarm is completely gone. After spending at least 60 hours clicking around their system to earn points I did manage to save a bunch of points. I first realized there was a problem when I stopped surfing and just decided to use all my points and see what kind of response rate I got from all the other people clicking on my website. So I put a tracking system on my url and website so I could accurately monitor the amount of clicks and the amount of customers Traffic Swarm would bring me. After all those ours of saving up those credits and watching them all get used up, I never got one single order from the Traffic Swarm visitors. Not one!

I even bought a couple thousand credits to see if I would get any kind of special attention or benefits since I was then a "Paid Pro Member" But nothing changed. Still zero orders coming from Traffic Swarm.

Why no orders? Well, in my opinion, the problem with the Traffic Swarm system is that all the members have their own website they are trying to promote. These people are not shoppers in my opinion. I think just about everyone participating in the Traffic Swarm system is an advertiser who is focused on advertising their own website. I feel that these people rarely actually read the websites they are clicking on. Instead I think they just pay for credits. Oh, did I mention that you can pay the Traffic Swarm people for as many credits as you want. I think that's their biggest problem. I think they had a good system, but then got greedy and allowed people to start paying for credits. I'm sure this must make the owners of Traffic Swarm a bloody fortune, but it does nothing but hurt the quality of your traffic in my opinion.

People using the Traffic Swarm system don't have to look your website or any website if they just pay for their credits. Traffic Swarm users don't even have to click anymore when they pay for credits up-front.

So I think that's why I never got a single order from the traffic swarm system. Probably the only people that still click around to save up credits are the people that can't afford to pay for credits. And if they can't afford to pay for credits, then how can they afford to order your products or services?

I give Traffic Swarm a 1 on a scale from 1-10. I would not recommend this company.

I know of at least 3 other traffic generating companies that send me thousands of visitors each month for around 10 cents per visitor and I think I'll just stick with these companies.

Traffic Equalizer

Traffic Equalizer is a targeted traffic generator that claims to be guaranteed to work with any product. The newest version of Traffic Equalizer was released in March of 2006 and is supposed to be simple even for a beginner, effective, inexpensive, guaranteed to work 100% regardless of the product and bring large amounts of targeted traffic with little work. Traffic Equalizer claims to be able to do all the work for you, all that is required is to import a list of key words, fill in some form fields and then Traffic Equalizer will created optimized pages.

In researching this product, I found that it can have some drawbacks. Some people have said that it is a short term solution to a long term question, others have said that basically what it is doing is putting out a duplicate which may cause you to loose your ranking and be dropped completely unless you put it on a separate IP, domain and server. The basic bottom line seems to be that using this type of a program will not serve you well in the long run and can even end up harming you if you are banned. The Traffic Equalizer is not something I'll be using ever in my lifetime and I don't recommend it.
