Traffic Exchanges: Traffic Galore!
Stop promoting in the traffic exchanges right now! Do not click another link until you read this because it could very well turn your exchange promotions around for good. No hype, no fluff, no B.S. The following information has proven so effective, that it has turned my life around from flipping pizzas for a living to earning a steady and ever growing income using one kind of promotion and one only, traffic exchange advertising! Now let me shock you with the following statement because I think it is vital for anything you plan to do with exchanges, you must know this first... People do not care about what you are promoting to them! While this may be obvious to some, 93% of the web sites I continue to see in the exchanges do not follow that simple fact. They are trying to sell you! The ad copy has been developed so that some 'guru' could justify spending thousands of web copy that honestly has absolutely no place in the exchanges. Yes, web copy is extremely important, probably the most important aspect of your web site, however not in the exchanges. The traffic exchanges are a visual medium, plus add the fact that you only have a few seconds until the viewer moves on to the next site, there is two strikes against the web copy intensive pages that are populating the exchanges. You have to know your audience. The typical exchange surfer is just like you, and in no other form of advertising can you almost guarantee that the person you are trying to sell to thinks like you, wants to promote like you and is trying very hard to get their message across, just like you. Yes, you are advertising to an advertiser. Should this scare you away? Absolutely not! The trick is to KNOW that this person does not care about what you are selling them. So don't try to sell them! You want to offer them something different from what they see in 93% of the web sites out there. You have to adopt and use splash page advertising. What's a splash page? A splash page is a very quick loading web site, that focuses on four things. The first being an eye catching headline, something that stops the surfer in their tracks. The second is a very well designed logo / graphic that feeds directly off the headline (these go hand in hand). The third thing is you want to create curiosity, this is done by highlighting in NO MORE than a paragraph some key problems and solutions that you web site can offer the surfer. And finally you need to close the 'lead'. Again do not try to sell them rather you can request them to fill out a form for more information (very similar to how you signed up for this mini-course), open a new window, bookmark a page, send you an email. Something that makes sure it is not the last time they will hear from you! Again, a splash page is not complicated, they are made to stick out like a sore thumb in the clutter of hype and jargon commonly found in the exchanges. A very good point to remember if you plan on creating a splash page, comedy works! A funny headline, a comical graphic, some funny bullet points. All these really help pull viewers in and if they feel that you are not some corporate web copywriter trying to sell them the latest greatest e-book, your chances of generating a productive lead will almost double! In the next lesson you will discover one of the most important lessons I learned about 13 months ago that changed my life and my exchange promotions. It's so simple, but again, most people online do not even want to admit that it works...Stay tuned! Jon Olson Got questions? I've got answers! 2309 Easthill Saskatoon, SK Canada S7J3E4 306-374-6314 ___________________________ Thanks for checking out the next lesson in our little mini-course on traffic exchange advertising. The next point we will go over did in fact change my life. It turned me from someone making a few dollars everyday into developing one of the best known brand names in the exchange industry. I stopped promoting for someone else! In a perfect world, we would all would be program owners and each have tens of thousands of members that would be building a business with us. Fact is, not everyone is a program owner and some folks just don't feel comfortable in that position. Not a problem at all, that is where our wonderful little 'splash page' comes in! The most important thing you have online is your name, so use it. Put it everywhere, say 'Joe Smith Proudly Presents...' on your web site, make sure people know it's you that is offering a special deal, get in front of your viewers and do not stop promoting, you! Some folks online call this 'ME Marketing', whatever label you may give it, it works! You can promote affiliate programs that you are a member of, and very well might I add. Let's look at an example. If you have spent anytime in the traffic exchanges, you will know this name. Tony Tezak. Tony is arguably one of the most successful traffic exchange user ever because he discovered this simple fact years ago as well. He put his face and his name on EVERY web site he ever promoted, and has been the model for 'name branding' in the exchanges. Quite recently Tony released his first 'product' and it became a huge success. Why? Simple, he did the ground work by getting his name known in the industry. Remember, he never made a name for himself being a program owner, his 'brand' was created by promoting other people's programs along with his name attached to it. Nothing he does ever goes without the Tony Tezak name and picture beside it. It's really that simple. Promote yourself! Your name is so powerful online and the chances someone actually signing up for your offer, business or program will increase ten fold if you have some name recognition. That being said, this does not happen overnight. It takes a good amount of time for people to recognize your name and really begin to trust you. Trust is one of the most important factors in all e-commerce, your viewer needs to be able to trust you and with your name being in as many places and in front of as many eyes, again, your chances increase! Again, I cannot stress how important it is to promote yourself. It really is the difference between 5 dollars a day and a hundred dollars a day. Just remember, by putting your name out there you will be 'branded' to the program you are promoting or business you own. So be very careful what you want to be a part of. Sure joining the latest and greatest program might look very lucrative in the short term, but building a business is a long term goal. Don't rush to the 'new thing' like everyone else, remember what we talked about in the first lesson, you want to stick out like a sore thumb, and by following the pack, we are just like everyone else. Your name sticks out because it's you, it's unique because it's you. Couple that with your own splash page that promotes something solid and proven, you're halfway to traffic exchange success. Congratulations! Tomorrow we will look at some of the most effective ways to surf the exchanges while still playing a pro active role in the industry. Yours truly, Jon Olson Got questions? I've got answers!

Traffic Exchanges Continued...
Hi again, welcome to your third lesson in this mini-course. I hope you have been enjoying the information in it. There is a very funny comedian I enjoy listening too. His name is Chris Rock and one bit in his stand up routine is how people do things they really should not be doing. The line goes something like this... "You can drive your car with your feet, does not make it a good idea!" Yeah, it's a lot funnier when he says it of course but what I want to echo in this lesson which is very important is that yes, there are many ways to short cut your time with the exchanges. There are many 'auto hit generating software' programs online, plus add the fact that the tabbed browser has become the norm for surfing the exchanges and while all these things do short cut your time online, they are much more damaging then you think. Let's look at any of the 'cheat software' that is on the market. Now while the majority of the popular stuff out there (Auto Hit Machine, etc) does not work at all with some of the better exchanges, there are still rumors of very abusive software being distributed around the net. Run away from this stuff as fast as you can. The reason is simple, if you get caught it could be the end of your time with exchanges. Cheating does nothing but hurt everyone involved, your reputation, the owners, your fellow surfers. Everyone can benefit from cheat free surfing! Now the next point is a touchy one and I will probably not win over any fans but I have to say it. If you are using a tabbed browser (Fire Fox, Myie2, Avant, Crazy Browser, etc) limit your tabs to 'No More Than Four'. Sure you can open dozens upon dozens of sites, but how effective would it be if everyone did this? How many people would look at your page or would they just be going from tab to tab to press the correct number to move on to a new site? The 'No More Than Four' tab campaign is something I started and yes, this works very well and can actually get you more traffic than opening up dozens of tabs. The first benefit is that you are giving viewers the exact same respect to your site that you want them to show. That does not mean you have to sign up with every single 'email me more info' page that comes up, but a quick glance at someone's site is what you want them to do for you. Treat people's site like you want yours to be treated. Everyone benefits. The next point is this, by setting up smaller blocks of 4 tabs, we can put together very focused campaigns for each day of the week. Here's an example. On Sunday, open up 4 of your favorite exchanges and surf them for an hour (or as long as you can), then when you feel like surfing again on Sunday, open up another 4. We receive traffic from the first 4 exchanges while we are surfing the next 4. It's basically the same amount of hits than if you would open 8 at a time, but it's spread out throughout the day, this gives you a much bigger audience from whom your sites will be shown. Remember, dinner time for you may be the middle of the night for your next referral. Spread out your surfing, in blocks of four on any given day. The real key here is to focus on programs that actually deliver traffic. There is absolutely no point in surfing a traffic exchange for an hour and generate hits if that program takes weeks to deliver it. A well managed traffic exchange will be able to deliver an hour's worth of surfing within a day and no more than 3 days. This is an 'exchange' and if you are doing your part by surfing, it should be common sense that the traffic exchange does it's part and deliver the goods. The final lesson for today is this...Track your own results! Do not listen to what I say about performance, do not listen to what any e-zine tells you or what any 'Jim Bob Exchange' owner may want you to believe. The only way to be 100% sure of what works and what does not is to track your own stats. You can do this by using one of the many ad tracking systems that can be found online, some are f/ree while others cost a few dollars a month but they are worth it. If you take anything from this lesson, please understand how important it is to track your stats. So the key points of today were this, if someone tries to sell you cheat software, run away! Sure you can open a dozen tabs at once, that does not make it a good idea. Focus on four tabs, see better results across the board. And above all else, track your own results! In tomorrow's lesson, we'll go over the number one reason most people fail at traffic exchange advertising. It will blow you away! Yours truly, Jon Olson Got questions? I've got answers! jon@ilovehits.com 2309 Easthill Saskatoon, SK Canada S7J3E4 306-374-6314 ___________________________ Greetings,Thanks for continuing with the exclusive Hit Exchange Survival Kit Course! Here's your next lesson... The one armed bandit! The slot machine. Why are they so popular in casinos across the planet? The flashing lights, the promises of instant millions, the whole 'what if it's my time to win' factor...I think it's all of these things plus one more, it's low cost! I call it 'Slot Machine Promoting' and it is without a shadow of a doubt, the number one reason people fail at traffic exchange advertising. Here's my analogy, the slot machine is your latest and greatest program. You know the one that sells for about 20 bucks a month, promises a forced matrix down line, has some 'big name' stamp of approval and hey, all your buddies are joining too. That is the slot machine, this is what you do next. You pay the fee (for sake of argument it's $20) or you pull the handle. Your eyes light up because it looks like you are about to win. You have two cherries show up and that last one is coming to a stop. Oh you just missed it, two cherries and a gold bar. Maybe you won a few credits, maybe you made a sale. But where is that promised gold? Where is the yacht I was told I would get if I paid my 20 bucks and spun the wheel a few times? After about a month or so of this, you feel tired. It was not what was promised to you but oh well, it was only 20 bucks. Who cares, I'll count it as a loss and wow, look at that. A new slot machine to play with...Let's take this one for a spin. And thus creates the vicious cycle that some 'program' owners prey upon. They know you will keep trying to spin the wheel and fork out 20 bucks, so they start a new slot machine (program) when things start to sour. Focus! Focus! Focus! You are building a business, it will not happen overnight. You need to stop joining every single program that promises a random payment or instant downline in your forced matrix. These are not solid businesses and the chances they will be online in a year are slim to none. Find a business you BELIEVE in, find an owner that cares about the success of his / her affiliates as much as his / her own pocket book. Hey, if you have the resources, start your own business but what is so important is that you don't jump ship at the first signs of bad water! Building a business takes time and so many traffic exchange users fall victim to jumping ship and trying their luck at another program. Hoping this time all the cherries will show up in their slot machine! Don't give up on the programs you really believe in, remember what we talked about in the lesson before. It takes a good chunk of time to brand your name and build your businesses online. A good rule of thumb is that if you are looking to invest in a program, give it at least 4 to 6 months before you start to see a return. You need this time to grow your network, get your splash pages created, build your traffic exchange down lines and really get a feel for what you are promoting. Research the owner, get feedback from other members. But always do your homework before you plan to invest your money and very valuable time in someone's business. You will save so much money in the long run by planning out your approach and not jumping from slot machine to slot machine. Focus your energy on one or two programs and really start to see results! Tomorrow is out last 'lesson', we will be putting it all together and after that, you will have learned these vital but very simple steps to traffic exchange advertising success. I look forward to tomorrow and I hope you do as well! Yours truly, Jon Olson Got questions? I've got answers!
jon@ilovehits.com 2309 Easthill Saskatoon, SK Canada S7J3E4 306-374-6314 ___________________________ Welcome back! O.k., let's see what we've gone over. The power is in the splash page, these little pages are so effective yet many users have still not adopted the concept of the splash page. Your name is the most important thing you have online, promote it and promote it as much as possible. Setting up a schedule for surfing no more than four exchanges at a time is the most effective way to surf the exchanges. Track everything you do in the exchanges! And finally, don't give up on your program and try to stay away from slot machine promotions. So let's put it all together. You need a splash page. If you can design one, perfect! They are very easy to create and take only a few hours to really get things going. However if you would like to get them designed for you, there is very cost effective option for you. It is the Hit Exchange Survival Kit Splash Page Design service, which is the program I created to tackle all the issues that people where facing with their exchange advertising. It's an all-in-one solution that gets you a custom made splash page for any program you wish to promote. I focus on my concept formula for designing pages called A.C.A. design (Attention / Curiosity / Action). This is the foundation for a properly designed splash page and is proven to get the results you need. For more info, check out http://www.hitexchangesurvivalkit.com/alacarte.php Splash page taken care of, next you need to brand your name. Start by putting it in all your sig lines, outgoing e-mails, forum profiles, splash pages, contact forms, just use your name like a badge, show it everywhere you can. A very effective and smart way to brand your name is to put a face behind it. So if you have a photo, upload it to the internet and get this seen as well. If you plan on going with the Hit Exchange Survival Kit for your splash page design, I can take care of that as well for you. Remember, your name is your calling card. It is the most important thing you have online, promote it and promote yourself! Track absolutely everything you do online, especially in the traffic exchanges. As a subscriber to this e-course you are entitled to an exclusive 30% discount at Hits Connect, which in my opinion is one of the better ad trackers on the market. Click here to grab your discount package: http://www.hitsconnect.com/partners.php?ref_id=3 Another very important lesson is to get out there and meet the people. Meet the owners of the programs, meet the people you are essentially 'promoting' to. You can do this by a simple e-mail or even better, through online forums. So be sure to pop by my forum, Net Marketing Forum, and start your 'branding' right away: http://www.netmarketingforum.com/ And finally, by following the steps I outlined in the previous e-mails and putting it together with a solid A.C.A. splash page campaign and program that you can believe in, your exchange campaigns will see a huge improvement. Again, it does not happen overnight but with hard work, the right tools and a 'never give up' attitude, it changed my life and I know it can change your experience with the exchanges as well. It's not how much you surf, but how you surf! I look forward to seeing you all online, and please do not hesitate to contact me. I am NOT an auto responder, I answer all phone calls and I am here if you need anything at all. This industry grows if we all succeed! Good luck and have fun with your exchange promotions! Yours in success, Jon Olson Got questions? I've got answers! 2309 Easthill Saskatoon, SK Canada S7J3E4 306-374-6314 ___________________________________________________________________ 2nd Round Knockout - Jon's Weekly Take on the Industry |
