How To Build A List

Of Eager Subscribers?

Every online business provides great service to generate satisfaction among their customers. As each and every customer receives satisfaction over their products or the services they get, there is a great chance that they will become a return customer and buy again. Better yet, they will recommend you to other people that could generate more business for you and your site.

As more traffic is driven to your site, you can entice many of them to subscribe to your mailing list or opt-in list. This is a list where in website visitors agree to be sent promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and such that could keep them updated about your site or the niche of your site. These promotional materials are sent via e-mail to the members of the list in different time intervals.

When using e-mail as the media of your marketing and advertisements, you eliminate the need for high costs. Email is free and if you can manage to make your own promotional advertisements you can also save a bundle there. With an opt-in subscribers list, you are pretty sure that what you are sending out is received, viewed and read by the subscribers and not simply being deleted. They have signed up for service and have consented in receiving it.

This means that there are constant reminders to your subscribers about all your products, new products and services as well as any promotions and special deals you are having. There is also the chance that they can be forwarded to other potential customers as they tell their friends and families about you and your site.

Of course you should be also aware that a subscriber may unsubscribe when they feel that they are not getting what they want or expected. Make sure that they are satisfied with your opt-in marketing strategies and keep them excited in receiving your newsletters and catalogs. Here are some tips that can help you build a list of eager subscribers.

Make your promotional materials interesting and fun. Try to use a little creativity but not too over artsy. Build around what your product or service is about. For example; if you are selling car parts, put some pictures of what is new in the auto parts world, a new wing door possibly that can fit any car and make it look like a Lamborghini.

Try to research what people are looking for, these way, you stay one step ahead of them all the time and you will be their bearer of new tidings. They will be eager to receive what you are sending them because they new you always have fresh and new things to share with them.

Write good articles that can be very informational but light at the same time. If your subscribers enjoy your articles, they will go to your site by clicking the links that you will be putting on your newsletter to read some more. You can provide articles that can connect to many people. Be diverse in your articles. Put something humorous, then put something informational, then put something that has both.

Are you worried about this because you don't like writing? No problem, there are many professional and experienced article writers that can do the job for you for minimal fees. They know what they are doing and can provide the need that you have for your newsletters, the money that you pay for your articles are going to be met by the many sign-ups and the potential profit from the sales that you will get.

Create and send an E-book to your customers about anything that is related to your business or site. Use your knowledge and expertise in the field you have chosen to help other people who are similarly interested. Offer this e-book for free. You can write about anything informational and helpful to your subscribers. For example; you can do manuals and guides in so many things. This e-book could be used as a reference for many people.

Share this e-book with everyone, even other sites; just make sure that they don't change the links in the e-book that will lead people to your site. If you want, you can always get some people to write it for you just like your articles. Your investment once again will be covered by the great marketing this will generate.

Add e-coupons in your newsletters that will help them avail to special discounts. Put a control number in your e-coupon so that they can only be used once. When people get discounts that can be found in your newsletters, they will be eager to receive your newsletter in anticipation of what you are promoting next.

If your subscribers can get benefits from your newsletters, they will be very eager to receive them. Just don't flood your mailing list with mails so that you don't annoy your subscribers.

IN TODAY'S LESSON: We'll examine exactly how I get my list susbscribers to open up my mailings and read the messages inside, including 3 simple keys that YOU can begin using today to get your own subscribers to open your emails and take action!

___________________________________________________________________________________

Did you notice the title of this article? It's going to be important in just a minute, so glance back at it one more time…

"How I Get Subscribers To Read My Emails"

Any list publisher in the world knows in order to get subscribers responding to their email messages, those subscribers must first READ those email messages.

The question is - how to pull it off?

Let's face it, just blasting out a message to your list won't make the grade these days. It's hard enough getting the darn thing delivered properly and getting subscribers to actually read your mailing takes a bit of work.

And yet there IS a very systematic, very scientific formula for getting list members to take a look at your emails and read what you've got waiting for them.

It's called - PRAYER!

Well, maybe that's not the formula but it certainly couldn't hurt. LOL

Getting back to point, it's all about crafting powerful "subject lines".

The reason you're here reading this is because the subject line from the mailing I sent you got your attention long enough to get you to take action.

So, it obviously worked.

Which prompts two important questions:

1. Why did my subject line work well enough to get you to read it and respond?

2. How can you apply the same technique I used to see results with your own list?

Let's break down the subject line I used, "How I get subscribers to read my emails", into three important keys as we answer those two questions...

Key 1 : Focus On The End Result.

One of the things that undoubtedly caught your attention when you originally read my email subject line was the fact that it spoke of some enticing results that I was achieving, that YOU would like to achieve as well...

"get subscribers to read my emails"

That's an end result that every email marketer wants to achieve, getting their subscribers to actually open up and read their emails.

So, from the beginning there is this indication, this hint, that I am about to share something that has already been proven to produce desirable results.

That's all ad copy is, folks, whether it's a salesletter or a classified ad or an email subject line, the primary objective is to get the reader thinking about the END RESULT.

Start with the end in mind.

What potential results can you promise to your
subscribers if they open your email and take a look inside?

I assure you, when a man or woman on the other end of the line gets your email, that's what they want to know - what's in it for me?

You should never click the "send" button until you have made dead certain that something in your subject line appeals to the wants and desires of the individuals who are on your list.

Specifically, focusing on a desirable result (or lack of results, if you are using the "fear of loss" approach) that is so interesting to your subscribers that they stop in their tracks to read what you've got inside.

Start with the end results in mind: "get subscribers to read my emails".

Whatever results YOUR specific list wants to achieve - as it relates to the mailing you are about to send -

  • Speed read 150 pages an hour
  • Get free airline tickets
  • Raise a child model
  • Take an extra day off each week
  • Stop headaches for good
  • Lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks
  • Cut wedding costs in half
  • Save your marriage
  • Quit smoking in 30 days

After you've decided what "end result" you want to focus on, there is a second key to consider...

Key 2: Give Them An Example To Follow.

Learn this and learn this well: nothing - absolutely nothing - speaks louder than personal results.

How many times have you asked a man or woman who has lost a lot of weight...

"How did you do it?"

Just the other day the youth pastor at my church invited me to speak to the youth during a Wednesday night service. I accepted and for forty-five minutes those teenagers sat quietly, hanging on my every word.

After the service was over, the youth pastor came to me and said those magical words, "How did you do it?"

He went on to explain that they are rarely quiet with him and he has a hard time getting them to pay attention. He was so interested in learning how I did it that he dropped by my home the next day to ask me more questions.

Nothing - absolutely nothing - speaks louder than personal results.

How did you lose that weight?
How did you get those youth to listen to you?
How did you get your lawn so green?
How did you raise two great kids?
How did you get that promotion?
How did you teach your toddler to swim?

You get the attention of your subscriber by hinting at results, but you reel them in by giving them details on how you personally achieved those desirable results.

If we have a pattern to follow, we can do it ourselves.

And that's what we really want.

Notice my subject line: "How I get subscribers to read my emails".

  • How I speed read 150 pages an hour
  • How I get free airline tickets
  • How I raised a child model
  • How I take an extra day off each week
  • How I stopped headaches for good
  • How I lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks
  • How I cut wedding costs in half
  • How I saved my marriage
  • How I quit smoking in 30 days

Every single one of us that desires a result, wants to know how to achieve it. And we'd rather not go to the pains of trying to figure it out ourselves.

We'd much rather have someone who has achieved what we want to achieve, show us how to do it.

That's why you opened my email. That's why you read it. That's why you responded to it and came to this site.

Does my system work? You tell me. :-)

You wouldn't be here unless it did.

Note: Whether it's a content mailing (like this one) or a prommotional mailing (I.E. "solo mailing"), this method of getting subscribers to open emails and read them works virtually every time.

But, there's a third key as well...

Key 3 : Use A Proven Template To Save Time And Increase Results.

Now, to be completely honest with you, this technique won't work if you continue using it every single time you do a mailing to your list.

While you do want to hint at results and even mention personal results, you cannot simply plug in the same subject line over and over again...

  • How I make money as an affiliate
  • How I make money with joint ventures
  • How I make money with my ezine
  • How I make money with pay-per-clicks
  • How I make money with banners
  • How I make money with autoresponders

I mean, that's gonna get old after a while. It's gonna lose its luster. It's not going to be nearly as effective after folks continue seeing it over and over again.

 The "results driven" subject line.

  • The "fear factor" subject line.
  • The "survival" subject line.
  • The "easy" subject line.
  • The "mistake" subject line.
  • The "secret" subject line.
  • The "fastest" subject line.
  • The "inquisitive" subject line.
  • The "case study" subject line.
  • The "necessity" subject line.
  • The "advantage" subject line.
  • The "expert" subject line.
  • The "cancelled" subject line.
  • The "instructions" subject line.
  • The "insight" subject line.
  • The "subscriber focus" subject line.
  • The "discovery" subject line.
  • The "get it" subject line.
  • The "devastating" subject line.
  • The "myth" subject line.

So, that's how I get subscribers to read emails. I encourage you to do those three things with your own opt-in list...

Focus On The End Result.
Give Them An Example To Follow.
Use A Proven Template To Save Time And Increase Results.

Seriously. Would you tell anyone?

If you had a way to make $100,000 a month on the Internet, would you tell anyone how you are doing it?

Seriously. Would you tell anyone?

Me? Yes, I would.

Why?

There is a very sad fact about people who purchase ‘info-products’… especially those who buy business opportunity type info-products.

99% NEVER use the information they receive.

I guarantee that, if the information is good, the person who uses it WILL make money… IF they TRY it.

The problem is 99% DON’t use it… sometimes they don’t even read the whole book!

Think of the last few ebooks you’ve purchased.

Did you use the info in the book?

Common now. Did you REALY implement any of the ‘killer’ strategies it revealed?

I can hear you saying… “Well, I already knew the info in the book.".

OK… so what? Did you TRY IT yet?

I don’t care if you KNEW it already, did you use it… did you IMPLEMENT?

You see, that’s why I wouldn’t hesitate to share my secrets with anyone (for a good price of course ;-)

In general, people who buy biz opp type infoproducts will never implement a thing revealed. That’s why you hear people complain, “Oh yeah, I bought guru x’s newest thingy and it didn’t help me make any money at all-it’s a rip-off"… etc.

It didn’t help you because you didn’t implement anything or you did implement it with a half-hearted effort and never really committed…. gheesh.

Now, there are bad products out there that really suck and stink… but generally if you’re dealing with someone reputable you will get info you can USE to make more money, if you CHOOSE to use it.

But, like I said, most people do NOT use it.

It’s sad actually, but true. I wish there was something I could do about it… maybe light a fire under their butt or somethin’.

But truthfully, the onus is on YOU to implement the ideas in any ebook or course you bought, etc.

The who do not implement new ideas they are exposed to will read a book (maybe) and continue on to the ‘next’ big thing online without really doing anything with the information.

Does that describe you?

I hope not.

So even if I did sell a book on how I made $100,000 a month online, less then 1% will ever use it … so it doesn’t worry me.

That is the reason why, I think, this guy is giving away a TON of info at such a low price … including how he made, not $100,000, but $1,000,000 millions online.

Here’s why you should study the approach this guy takes: He’s entertaining, has a “no BS” type attitude and has lots of social and income proof.

If you want to study how to sell an ebook and make lots of money, you would be wise to study this example:

The Rich Jerk

By the way- I do NOT endorse everything this guy tells you, but I have to admit he’s compelling, convincing and rich.
